About Our School

Our Motto
‘Igniting The Spark of Learning’

Our Vision

Our vision is to have uncompromising aspirations for every individual and for our school to be an exceptional, inclusive and inspirational community of lifelong learners.

We shall achieve this through:

  • High quality, inspirational and innovative teaching and learning.
  • Inspirational and accountable leadership at all levels.
  • Consistently high academic standards and expectations for every individual
  • Creative, exciting and memorable experiences inside and outside the classroom
  • A safe, secure and caring environment in which to work and learn

Our Mission Statement

At Mayplace Primary school our mission is to deliver high quality teaching and learning whilst at the same time providing rich and truly enjoyable learning experiences for our community of children.  Everything we do as a school is to ensure that the children achieve their very best. We are deeply aware that children only get one chance at their primary education and it is our job to ensure that they all reach for the highest levels of personal achievement and development. We want every child to be successful; to reach for success from the very first day they join us and throughout their school lives so that when they leave us, they have a love of learning for the rest of their lives.

Our Values

Our School Values have been chosen to represent the ethos of our school.

They are:

Team

Belonging

Leading Learning

Love of Learning.

Assemblies are held throughout the year to discuss the real meaning of these words and what the children can do to consider their meanings and put them into everyday practice. They also provide a framework for staff and children alike to uphold and also evaluate themselves against.
